Murphy Oil Q2 Net Income Rises to $232 Million

Murphy Oil (MUR) reported second-quarter 2026 net income attributable to Murphy of $232.2 million, or $1.59 per diluted share, for the quarter ended June 30. Revenue from production was $926.3 million, compared with $683.1 million a year earlier.

The company said production totaled 169,000 BOEPD, at the upper end of quarterly guidance, and announced an oil discovery at the Bubale-1X exploration well offshore Côte d'Ivoire.

  • Net income attributable to Murphy was $232.2 million, compared with $22.3 million in the second quarter of 2025.
  • Diluted EPS was $1.59, compared with $0.16 a year earlier.
  • Murphy paid $50 million in quarterly dividends during the quarter.
  • Liquidity was approximately $2.48 billion as of June 30, 2026, including about $480 million of cash and cash equivalents.
  • Total debt was $1.55 billion as of June 30, 2026.
  • The company raised its full-year CAPEX midpoint from $1.25 billion to $1.55 billion.
