GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen Buys Another $26.4 Million of GME Stock

GameStop ($GME) CEO Ryan Cohen purchased another $26.4 million of company stock on September 21, his second major purchase this month and third million-share purchase of 2026. The latest buy comes as other GameStop directors have also been purchasing shares and the company continues to hold a multibillion-dollar investment in eBay ($EBAY).

  • Cohen bought 1.15 million shares at an average price of $22.94, bringing his direct ownership to nearly 40.5 million shares.
  • He previously bought 1 million shares for $20.4 million on September 10 and another 1 million shares for $21.4 million in January.
  • Director Alain Attal also bought approximately $402,000 of GameStop shares on September 21, adding to recent insider buying by directors Lawrence Cheng and James Grube.
  • GameStop reported record second-quarter operating income of $160.2 million earlier this month and raised its 2026 adjusted EBITDA outlook to more than $650 million.
  • As of August 1, GameStop held approximately 43.4 million eBay shares valued at $4.9 billion.
