Grab CEO Anthony Tan Buys Nearly $30 Million of GRAB Stock

Grab Holdings ($GRAB) CEO Anthony Tan purchased nearly $30 million of company stock on September 21, while President and COO Alexander Hungate bought another $867,000 of shares. The purchases come days after Grab announced plans to deploy approximately $900 million on share repurchases over the next year and agreed to acquire a majority stake in Atome Financial.

  • Tan purchased 10.35 million shares at a weighted average price of $2.8866, spending approximately $29.88 million.
  • The purchase increased Tan's directly owned Class A position from 428,498 shares to approximately 10.78 million shares.
  • Hungate purchased 299,571 shares at an average price of $2.8936, spending approximately $867,000.
  • Together, the two executives purchased approximately $30.74 million of Grab shares on September 21.
  • Grab said last week it intends to complete its remaining $900 million share-repurchase authorization over the next 12 months.
  • The company also agreed to pay $1.49 billion in cash for an initial 60% stake in Atome Financial.
