Vera Bradley Posts $4.5 Million Quarterly Profit as Revenue Rises 1.1%

Vera Bradley (VRA) reported fiscal 2027 second-quarter net income of $4.5 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, compared with a $4.7 million loss in the prior-year quarter. Consolidated net revenue increased 1.1% to $71.6 million for the 13 weeks ended August 1, 2026.

Direct segment revenue rose 8.0% to $65.4 million, while indirect segment revenue declined 39.4% to $6.3 million. The company reiterated its fiscal 2027 sales guidance of $255 million to $270 million.

  • Gross profit was $42.8 million, or 59.8% of revenue, versus $35.5 million a year earlier.
  • Operating income from continuing operations was $4.2 million, compared with a $4.6 million operating loss in the prior-year quarter.
  • Cash and cash equivalents totaled $34.2 million at August 1, 2026, and inventory was $69.3 million, down 28.4% year over year.
  • The quarter included $7.7 million in tariff refunds related to prior-period customs entries.
