Eagle Materials Q1 revenue rises to record $651 million

Eagle Materials (EXP) reported fiscal first-quarter 2027 revenue of $651.0 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 3% from the prior-year quarter. Net earnings were $102.1 million, down 17%, and diluted net earnings per share were $3.29, down 13%.

The company said cement sales volume rose 8% to a record 2.1 million tons, while gypsum wallboard sales volume declined 2% to 772 million square feet. Eagle Materials also reported $154 million in operating cash flow and repurchased 406,500 shares for about $84 million during the quarter.

  • Revenue was $650.966 million, compared with $634.690 million a year earlier.
  • Net earnings were $102.127 million, compared with $123.362 million a year earlier.
  • Basic EPS was $3.30 and diluted EPS was $3.29.
  • Heavy Materials revenue increased 8% to $454.1 million, while Light Materials revenue decreased 5% to $238.2 million.
  • Adjusted EBITDA was $190.5 million, down 11%.
  • The company ended the quarter with debt of $1.8 billion and net debt of $1.5 billion.
