Universal Logistics Q2 net income rises to $26.2 million

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. (ULH) reported second-quarter 2026 operating revenue of $379.3 million, compared with $393.8 million a year earlier. Net income was $26.2 million, up from $8.3 million in the prior-year period, and GAAP earnings were $0.99 per basic and diluted share.

The company said quarterly results included a $45.3 million gain on the sale of certain Kearny, New Jersey real property, a $3.9 million non-cash impairment charge and $12.3 million of charges related to outstanding legal matters. Universal also declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.105 per share.

  • Second-quarter operating income was $45.1 million, compared with $19.9 million a year earlier.
  • Contract logistics revenue rose 4.2% to $271.4 million, with operating income of $24.6 million.
  • Intermodal revenue fell 36.0% to $44.1 million, with an operating loss of $10.4 million.
  • Trucking revenue was $63.8 million, compared with $64.1 million a year earlier, with operating income of $2.9 million.
  • The dividend is payable to stockholders of record on September 1, 2026, and is expected to be paid on October 1, 2026.
