Smith & Wesson Q1 Sales Rise 32% to $112.6 Million

Smith & Wesson Brands (SWBI) reported fiscal first-quarter net sales of $112.6 million, up 32.3% from the comparable quarter a year earlier. GAAP net income was $2.6 million, compared with a $3.4 million net loss in the prior-year quarter.

Diluted GAAP earnings per share were $0.06, compared with a loss of $0.08 per share a year earlier. The quarter ended July 31, 2026.

  • Gross margin was 28.7%, versus 25.9% a year earlier.
  • The company received $2.9 million in tariff refunds, which increased gross margin by about 260 basis points.
  • Smith & Wesson expects second-quarter sales to be roughly 10% above the prior-year period.
  • The company maintained its fiscal 2027 revenue-growth outlook of approximately 5% to 7% over fiscal 2026.
  • The board authorized a quarterly dividend of $0.13 per share, payable October 1, 2026, to stockholders of record September 17, 2026.
