SUNation Energy Q2 revenue falls 38% as Suniva merger advances

None

SUNation Energy (SUNE) reported second-quarter 2026 sales of $8.2 million, down 38% from a year earlier, as residential solar demand declined after the expiration of the Section 25D federal tax credit. Net loss was $3.34 million, compared with $9.61 million in the prior-year quarter.

The company said commercial, service and storage activity partly offset residential weakness, while operating expenses fell 24% year over year. SUNation also said its proposed reverse merger with Suniva is currently targeting a fourth-quarter 2026 closing, subject to customary conditions and approvals.

  • Second-quarter sales were $8.2 million, compared with $13.1 million a year earlier.
  • Basic and diluted net loss per share was $0.52, compared with $3.14 in the second quarter of 2025.
  • Commercial revenue rose to $1.72 million from $1.40 million a year earlier.
  • Total operating expenses were $5.31 million, down from $7.00 million in the prior-year quarter.

  • Total liabilities were $20.4 million at June 30, 2026, down 15% from Dec. 31, 2025.
