Oportun Q2 GAAP Net Income Rises 24 Percent to $8.5 Million

Oportun Financial Corporation (OPRT) reported second-quarter 2026 results with total revenue of $233 million and GAAP net income of $8.5 million, up 24% from $6.9 million a year earlier. GAAP earnings per share were $0.18 basic and $0.17 diluted.

The company said adjusted EBITDA rose 56% to $49 million and its 30-plus day delinquency rate was 4.0%, the lowest since the fourth quarter of 2021. Oportun also raised its full-year adjusted EBITDA outlook and improved its annualized net charge-off rate expectation.

  • Second-quarter total revenue was $233 million, compared with $234 million in the prior-year quarter.
  • GAAP net income was $8.5 million, compared with $6.9 million a year earlier.
  • GAAP diluted EPS was $0.17, compared with $0.14 in the prior-year quarter.
  • Aggregate originations were $488 million, up 1% from $481 million a year earlier.
  • The 30-plus day delinquency rate was 4.0% at quarter end, compared with 4.4% a year earlier.
  • For full-year 2026, Oportun guided for total revenue of $935 million to $955 million and adjusted EBITDA of $160 million to $175 million.
