Middlesex Water Q2 Revenue Rises to $56.4 Million

Middlesex Water Company (MSEX) reported second-quarter 2026 operating revenue of $56.4 million, up $7.0 million from the same quarter in 2025. Net income was $14.8 million, compared with $10.8 million a year earlier, and diluted earnings per share were $0.79, compared with $0.60.

The company said results were driven in part by increased wholesale customer demand and favorable weather. Middlesex also reported first-half infrastructure investment of approximately $53 million and declared a $0.36 common stock cash dividend.

  • Infrastructure investment: Approximately $53 million invested in water and wastewater utility infrastructure during the first half of 2026.
  • Dividend: A third-quarter cash dividend of $0.36 per common share was declared, payable Sept. 1, 2026, to shareholders of record as of Aug. 17, 2026.
