Liberty Global LBTYK Gets EU Clearance for €669 Million VodafoneZiggo Tower Sale

None

Liberty Global (LBTYK) said the European Commission cleared the sale of VodafoneZiggo’s passive tower assets to DigitalBridge, TD Greystone Infrastructure and L&G.

The company continues to expect the transaction to close by year-end, with €669 million of total consideration. Proceeds are intended to support deleveraging at VodafoneZiggo ahead of the planned Ziggo Group spin-off and Amsterdam listing in mid-2027.

  • The tower sale is part of Liberty Global’s targeted €1.2 billion to €1.4 billion of non-core asset disposals.
  • VodafoneZiggo reported overall revenue growth in the third quarter of 2026 and its best broadband net-add performance since 2019.
  • VodafoneZiggo launched internet speeds of up to 8Gbps in the Netherlands following its DOCSIS 4 network upgrade.
  • Liberty Global plans to release third-quarter 2026 results on November 3, 2026.
