GameStop Expects Second-Quarter Net Income of $290 Million to $310 Million

GameStop (GME) reported preliminary unaudited second-quarter 2026 expectations for net sales of $780 million to $800 million and net income of $290 million to $310 million for the 13 weeks ended August 1, 2026.

The company said it expects to release complete second-quarter results on September 8, 2026. Its quarterly net income includes approximately $238 million in net gains tied to its eBay derivative asset and equity investment, partly offset by an approximately $75 million loss on digital assets and related receivables.

  • Expected net sales of $780 million to $800 million, versus $972.2 million in the prior-year quarter.
  • Expected operating income of $150 million to $170 million, versus $66.4 million a year earlier.
  • Expected cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of $5.050 billion to $5.070 billion.
  • Held approximately 43.4 million eBay common shares with an approximate fair value of $4.947 billion as of August 1, 2026.
