Essential Utilities Q2 revenue rises to $530.9 million

Essential Utilities (WTRG) reported GAAP net income of $105.7 million, or $0.37 per share, for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue was $530.9 million, up 3% from $514.9 million a year earlier.

The company affirmed its financial and growth guidance, increased its quarterly dividend by 5.25%, and said regulatory approvals for its pending merger with American Water have been received in Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.

  • The company said it continues to expect the American Water merger to close in the first quarter of 2027.
