Energy Focus Q2 Revenue Rises 228 Percent to $3.7 Million

Energy Focus (EFOI) reported second-quarter 2026 net sales of $3.7 million, up 228.0% from $1.1 million in the year-earlier quarter. The company cited initial Energy Storage Systems shipments to a new customer in Australia, along with increased military maritime market product sales.

The Solon, Ohio-based company posted a second-quarter net loss of $0.9 million, or $0.14 per basic and diluted share, compared with a net loss of $0.2 million, or $0.04 per basic and diluted share, in the second quarter of 2025.

  • Commercial product sales were $2.254 million in the second quarter, while MMM product sales were $1.491 million.
  • Gross margin was negative 6.8%, compared with 12.9% in the prior-year quarter.
  • Operating loss was $0.9 million, compared with $0.2 million a year earlier.
  • Cash was $1.1 million as of June 30, 2026, unchanged from Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Energy Focus raised about $250,000 in gross proceeds through a May 2026 private placement with Euka Power Japan Co., Ltd.
