Empire Petroleum Reports $9.5 Million Q2 Revenue and $1.9 Million Net Loss

Empire Petroleum Corporation (EP) reported second-quarter 2026 total revenue of $9.5 million and a net loss of $1.9 million, or $0.05 per basic and diluted share. Total product revenue was $11.1 million, compared with $8.7 million in the prior-year quarter.

The company reported net equivalent sales volumes of 1,825 barrels of oil equivalent per day, down 23% from 2,357 Boe/d in Q2 2025. Empire said it brought five wells online during the quarter through reactivations, recompletions and well-deepening activities.

  • Q2 product revenue increased 27% year over year to $11.1 million.
  • Net loss narrowed from $5.1 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, in Q2 2025.
  • Adjusted EBITDA was $0.4 million, versus a loss of $1.2 million a year earlier.
  • Cash on hand totaled approximately $3.1 million as of June 30, 2026, with approximately $2.0 million available on its credit facility.
  • Empire expects Louisiana program completions in Q4 2026 and expects to generate revenue from that program during the remainder of 2026.
