A trader on Sunday, October 25 at 6:02 AM ET bought $10,877 of Yes shares at 26% odds on the Polymarket question of whether the Democratic Party will win the NC-13 House seat. If the bet wins, it pays out about $31,052 in profit.

Context around the race has been building in recent days. The Associated Press reported on October 24 that Democrat Paul Barringer, who once identified as a Republican, is the Democratic nominee challenging Rep. Brad Knott in NC-13, and said Barringer is running as a moderate who hopes to appeal across party lines. NC Newsline reported on October 2 that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee added North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District to its 2026 target list, signaling that national Democrats are putting resources into the seat. That report also said Knott is the Republican incumbent and that Libertarian Steven Swinton is on the general-election ballot.

The odds of Yes are now 32%, up from 21% one day ago, 12% one week ago, and 16% one month ago. Trading has been active on the question, with $8,290 in volume over the last 24 hours and $112,004 in lifetime volume. On the same page, Brad Knott (R) is priced at 66%.

Polymarket says the question will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the NC-13 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The midterms are set for November 3, 2026, and the market is scheduled to end on November 4, 2026.
