• It would have two co-chairs, one selected by the majority party leadership and one by the minority party leadership.
• Members could receive travel expenses, and federal employees could be detailed to help it.

Timeline and public input

• Appointments would need to be made within 180 days after enactment.
• The task force would meet within 30 days after most members are appointed.
• It would publish a notice in the Federal Register and accept public comments for 90 days.
• It could hold hearings, take testimony, and request information from federal agencies.
• It would terminate no later than two years after all members are appointed.

Reports and funding
