Western Union Q2 revenue falls 1% as EPS drops to 24 cents

Western Union (WU) reported second-quarter 2026 GAAP revenue of $1.013 billion, down 1% from $1.026 billion a year earlier. Net income was $76.7 million, down 37% from $122.1 million, while diluted EPS fell to $0.24 from $0.37.

The company said Consumer Services revenue grew 4% on a GAAP basis, Branded Digital revenue rose 7%, and Consumer Money Transfer revenue declined 2%. Western Union also updated its full-year 2026 outlook, projecting GAAP revenue growth of 3% to 5% and adjusted EPS of $1.25 to $1.35.

  • Second-quarter GAAP operating margin was 13%, compared with 19% in the prior-year period.
  • Consumer Services revenue was $147.1 million, up from $141.1 million a year earlier.
  • Consumer Money Transfer revenue was $866.1 million, down from $885.0 million a year earlier.
  • Branded Digital revenue increased 7% on a GAAP basis, with transactions up 25%.
  • Western Union said it remains engaged with regulators on its planned Intermex acquisition.
