Trinity Capital Q2 investment income rises 25.5% to $87.2 million

Trinity Capital (TRIN) reported second-quarter 2026 total investment income of $87.2 million, up 25.5% year over year, for the quarter ended June 30. Net investment income was $46.0 million, or $0.51 per basic share, while net increase in net assets resulting from operations was $44.4 million, or $0.49 per basic share.

The company reported $709.0 million of total gross investment commitments and $618.7 million of gross investments funded during the quarter. Trinity also announced monthly distributions of $0.17 per share for July, August and September 2026.

  • Total net assets were $1.3 billion at quarter-end, with NAV of $13.47 per share.
  • Return on average equity was 15.2%, and return on average assets was 6.9%.
  • Available liquidity was approximately $430.1 million as of June 30, including $22.2 million in unrestricted cash and cash equivalents.
  • The investment portfolio had an aggregate fair value of approximately $2.7 billion across 190 portfolio companies.
  • Trinity transferred its common stock listing to the NYSE and NYSE Texas under the ticker TRIN on July 27, 2026.
