Seres Therapeutics Q2 Net Income Reaches $4.6 Million

Seres Therapeutics (MCRB) reported second-quarter 2026 net income of $4.6 million, compared with a net loss of $19.9 million in the year-earlier period. Total revenue was $736,000, and basic and diluted net income per share were both $0.47.

The company said the quarter included a $25 million gain on the sale of the VOWST business tied to a milestone termination payment from Nestlé Health Science. Seres also announced further facility cost reductions and said its available cash resources are expected to fund operations through the first quarter of 2027.

  • Cash and cash equivalents were $15.6 million as of June 30, 2026.
  • Research and development expenses were $9.1 million, down from $12.9 million a year earlier.
  • General and administrative expenses were $7.1 million, down from $10.3 million a year earlier.
  • Seres said 12 of 15 participants, or 80%, achieved an immunosuppressive-free clinical response at day 15 in an investigator-sponsored SER-155 trial in irEC.
  • The company entered an agreement to terminate its 200 Sidney Street lease early, with accounting for the transaction to be reported in third-quarter 2026 results.
