PAMT posts $7.4 million Q2 net loss as revenue rises

PAMT CORP (PAMT) reported a second-quarter 2026 consolidated net loss of $7.4 million, or diluted and basic loss per share of $0.36, compared with a net loss of $9.6 million, or $0.46 per share, a year earlier.

Consolidated operating revenues increased 8.9% to $164.7 million from $151.1 million in the second quarter of 2025. The company also announced Daniel C. Kleine was appointed chief financial officer effective July 30, 2026.

  • Total revenues were $164.7 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
  • Operating loss was $10.4 million and operating ratio was 106.3%.
  • Net loss included a one-time $3.1 million accrual related to auto liability claims from prior years.
  • Liquidity, including cash, marketable equity securities and available credit, totaled $116.7 million as of June 30, 2026.
  • Outstanding debt was $332.8 million, down $1.1 million from Dec. 31, 2025.
