Magnachip Q2 revenue falls 6 percent to $44.7 million

Magnachip Semiconductor (MX) reported second-quarter 2026 consolidated revenue from continuing operations of $44.7 million, down 6.1% from $47.6 million a year earlier. GAAP net loss was $4.8 million, compared with net income of $323,000 in the second quarter of 2025.

The company reported gross profit margin from continuing operations of 19.3%, above its guidance range of 17.0% to 19.0%. Magnachip also named Chae Lee as chief executive officer and formed a strategic partnership with Navitas Semiconductor to license SiC technology.

  • Q2 net sales were $44.7 million, compared with $46.2 million in Q1 2026.
  • GAAP loss from continuing operations was $7.6 million, compared with income of $9.2 million a year earlier.
  • Basic and diluted total loss per share were both $0.13.
  • Power Analog Solutions revenue was $40.6 million, down 4.0% year over year.
  • Power IC revenue was $4.1 million, down 23.0% year over year.
  • For Q3 2026, Magnachip expects consolidated revenue from continuing operations of $41.5 million to $45.5 million.
