ImageneBio Posts $10.2 Million Q2 Loss With Cash Runway Into 2028

ImageneBio (IMA) reported second-quarter 2026 financial results and said it ended June 30, 2026, with $136.2 million in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities. The company said those resources are expected to fund planned operations into the first quarter of 2028.

For the quarter, ImageneBio reported a net loss of $10.2 million, or $0.63 loss per share, compared with a net loss of $10.7 million, or $4.46 per share, in the same period of 2025. The company also provided updates on olevaprubart, including progress in atopic dermatitis and plans for alopecia areata.

  • R&D expenses were $6.7 million for the three months ended June 30, 2026, compared with $5.7 million a year earlier.
  • G&A expenses were $5.1 million, compared with $1.7 million in the same period of 2025.
  • The Phase 2b ADAPTIVE trial of olevaprubart in moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis continues under an amended protocol, with topline data anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2027.
  • A long-term extension study has opened for patients enrolled in ADAPTIVE, and sites are actively enrolling patients.
  • ImageneBio said it remains on track to initiate a Phase 2 trial of olevaprubart in alopecia areata in 2026, with initial data expected in 2028.
  • The company completed a $30 million private placement in April 2026 and appointed Yanina Grant-Huerta as chief financial officer in July.
