Eastman Q2 Sales Rise 10 Percent as Diluted EPS Hits $1.59

Eastman Chemical Company (EMN) reported second-quarter 2026 sales of $2.513 billion, up 10% from $2.287 billion a year earlier. Net earnings attributable to Eastman were $183 million, compared with $140 million in the prior-year quarter.

Diluted earnings per share were $1.59, up from $1.20 a year earlier. The company said sales revenue increased primarily due to 5% higher sales volume and mix and 4% higher selling prices.

  • Operating cash flow was $224 million, compared with $233 million in second-quarter 2025.
  • By segment, Chemical Intermediates sales rose 39%, Advanced Materials sales rose 5%, Additives & Functional Products sales rose 5%, and Fibers sales fell 11%.
  • Outlook includes expected 2026 operating cash flow approaching $900 million and capital expenditures of approximately $400 million.
