Duke Energy reports second quarter 2026 EPS of $1.38

Duke Energy (DUK) reported second-quarter 2026 GAAP EPS of $1.38, compared with $1.25 in the second quarter of 2025. Adjusted EPS was $1.43, excluding charges related to regulatory settlements.

The company reaffirmed 2026 adjusted EPS guidance of $6.55 to $6.80 and its long-term adjusted EPS growth rate of 5% to 7% through 2030 off the 2025 midpoint of $6.30.

  • Second-quarter operating revenues were $7.592 billion, compared with $7.508 billion a year earlier.
  • Net income was $1.145 billion, compared with $1.007 billion in the prior-year quarter.
  • Net income available to Duke Energy common stockholders was $1.077 billion.
  • Electric Utilities and Infrastructure reported second-quarter segment income of $1.271 billion.
  • Gas Utilities and Infrastructure reported second-quarter segment income of $10 million.
  • The company cited infrastructure investment recovery, higher depreciation and interest expense among second-quarter drivers.
