Daktronics Posts $234.6 Million Fiscal Q1 Sales and $0.40 EPS

Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT) reported fiscal 2027 first-quarter net sales of $234.6 million, up 7.1% from a year earlier, and net income of $19.4 million for the 13 weeks ended Aug. 1, 2026.

Diluted earnings per share were $0.40, up 21.2% year over year. The company reported a 10.6% operating margin and ended the quarter with $154.6 million in cash and cash equivalents.

  • Operating income was $24.9 million, compared with $23.3 million in the prior-year quarter.
  • Gross profit was $71.6 million, with a 30.5% gross profit margin.
  • Operating cash flow totaled $31.4 million.
  • New orders were $191.8 million, while product backlog was $311.3 million.
  • The company repurchased $4.4 million of common stock during the quarter.
