Con Edison Q2 Net Income Rises to $308 Million

Consolidated Edison, Inc. (ED) reported second-quarter 2026 net income for common stock of $308 million, or $0.83 per basic share, compared with $246 million, or $0.68 per share, in the 2025 second quarter.

For the first six months of 2026, net income for common stock was $1.232 billion, or $3.37 per share, compared with $1.038 billion, or $2.93 per share, a year earlier. The company reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance range of $6.00 to $6.20.

  • Second-quarter adjusted earnings were $308 million, or $0.83 per share, compared with $240 million, or $0.67 per share, in the prior-year quarter.
  • First-half adjusted earnings were $1.098 billion, or $3.00 per share, compared with $1.032 billion, or $2.91 per share, in the 2025 period.
  • CEO Tim Cawley cited electric service reliability, infrastructure investments and system resilience efforts.
  • CFO Kirk Andrews said year-to-date results continue to be in line with expectations.
  • The company said it expects to have 28 new substations in service by 2035.
