Caleres Q2 Sales Rise 5.6% as GAAP Diluted EPS Reaches $1.71

Caleres (NYSE: CAL) reported second-quarter 2026 net sales of $695.5 million, up 5.6% from a year earlier. GAAP net earnings attributable to Caleres were $58.6 million, or $1.71 per diluted share, compared with $6.7 million, or $0.20 per diluted share, a year earlier.

The company said Brand Portfolio sales increased 23.6%, while Famous Footwear sales declined 6.3%. Caleres expects third-quarter GAAP diluted EPS of $0.62 to $0.70 and full-year GAAP diluted EPS of $2.80 to $2.95.

  • GAAP gross profit was $381.0 million and gross margin was 54.8%, including $55.6 million in tariff refunds.
  • Brand Portfolio sales rose 8.2% excluding Stuart Weitzman, while international sales increased 57.0%.
  • Famous Footwear comparable sales declined 5.9% during the quarter.
  • Quarter-end inventory was $754.2 million, while revolving credit facility borrowings were $288.0 million.
