Each report must include the following information for every veteran who died during the reporting period:

• Primary Cause of Death: The main cause of death for the veteran.
• Secondary Cause of Death: If applicable, any additional cause of death that contributed.
• Manner of Death: Information regarding how the veteran died.

Statistical Data

For each primary cause of death, the report must also contain statistical data, including:

• The total number of veterans who died from that specific primary cause during the reporting period.
• The total number of veterans who died in each manner of death identified.

Duration of Requirement

The requirements for the annual report will be in effect for five years from the date the bill is enacted. After this period, the section requiring these reports will terminate.

Clerical Amendment

The bill also includes a clerical amendment to update the table of sections in the U.S. Code to reflect the addition of the new reporting section.
